Jasmine Absolute can be produced in two main ways, by alcohol extraction from the concrete, or by alcohol extraction from the trays of fat used in enfleurage. The latter process has become impractical and uneconomic, so most absolutes are now produced from concretes. This intensely floral oil is dark orange in colour and somewhat viscous, but very little is required to add the characteristic odour to any blend.Did you know?
